Wow! What a windy day! I'm surprised those little kindergarten bodies don't just blow away.
We talked about what our favorite types of transportation are this morning. During computer lab time, the students used KidPix to draw a picture of their favorite vehicle. We printed them off and will be sending it home as another class-made book! Look for it to come home over the next couple of weeks!
Mrs. Abbey read, How Partridge Built Canoes. The students listed many ways in which they knew that the story was fiction.
During handwriting, the students practiced writing shapes. Next week we begin letters!
In guidance, Mrs. Canada and Mrs. Russell talked to the students about how to make friends. The students role played a skit about making friends, and drew a picture of a friend in their workbook.
Mrs. Abbey worked with small groups of students reading the book, Tig Can See.
Tomorrow is our late dismissal. The students are very excited to be eating lunch at school! Please remember to send a drink in your child's lunch box. There will not be recess. At 12:35 I will take the pick-up students outside to the north end of the school, and we will wait as a group for parents to pull up. It is a long line, so please be patient! As an alternate, you may pick your child up in our classroom at 12:25, or park in the lot (either the main lot or north end lot) and walk to the North side of the school to pick up your child. See you then!
Just a reminder...there is no school on Friday.
