New books went home in your child's book bag today! Thank you for helping your child learn to read!
Mrs. Abbey read The Three Bears today. We talked about size words: small, medium, & large. We talked about sets of three that were in the book. The students also thought of other things Goldilocks could have done instead of going into the bears' house.
In handwriting, the students practiced writing the uppercase "Q".
During math time, the students used privacy folders to complete a counting/matching numbers to sets activity without help from their friends and tablemates. It focused on numbers 11-20, so it was pretty challenging for those students who do not yet know their numbers 0-30. If your child is unable to identify #0-30, keep practicing at home!
We read a story about Martin Luther King Jr. and talked about his important speech.
