Thank you to Kaylee C's dad for coming to talk to the class about his job as a graphic designer! The kids loved seeing the photos and video clips he brought to show them on his computer!
We went to check on the baby chicks again today. Now there are 5 baby chicks! The students are excited because they get a chance to hold the chicks next week before they head back to the farm.
In library, the students got to read inside a tent! How did a tent get in the library?...it's a mystery!
Mrs. Abbey read Welcome to the Rainforest, a nonfiction article that talked about the 4 layers of the rainforest and the animals that live there.
Many of the students got a chance to read in the big chair again today! They are working hard on learning all of the kindergarten sight words and applying them in their reading.
We talked about Earth Day and made a list of things we can do at home to help the Earth:
(1) recycle
(2) clean up trash
(3) conserve water
(4) use less electricity
(5) plant trees
