We started a new theme in literacy today: weather! Today we talked and read about rain. Mrs. Abbey read A Rainy Day, a nonfiction book which taught us facts about rain and about the water cycle.
Our new sight words for the week are: "this" and "do"
We are focusing on the sound of: /e/
Mrs. Abbey taught the class a new math game today. This ladybug game reinforces skills such as counting by 5's, 1:1 correspondence, and identifying numbers.
During literacy stations, Mrs. Abbey finished assessing students for our end-the-the-trimester assessments. I will share those assessment results with you at conferences next week.
