Today was the last day that students will be checking out library books for the school year. Please have all library books returned by next Friday, May 13. Thanks!
Mrs. Abbey read, Ma Lien and the Magic Brush, a folk tale from China. Ask your child what happened when the boy painted with the magic paint brush.
Thank you to Elijah's mom for helping out with an alphabet writing assessment today!
The students were busy working at literacy stations while Mrs. Abbey worked 1:1 with students completing some year-end assessments.
Every day the students check on their seedlings. We're still waiting for 3 to poke out of the soil, which they probably will do this weekend!

Upcoming:
•Mon. May 9--there will be a sub while Mrs. Abbey works on reading assessments with students.
•Tues. May 10--there will be a sub for the last 45 minutes of the day so Mrs. Abbey can go to her daughters music concert.
•Thursday. May 12--Field Day!--Please have your child wear their green frog kindergarten t-shirt, sunscreen, and bring a sack lunch (unless you have ordered a school lunch). Also, all students need to bring a refillable water bottle, as they get very hot and thirsty playing games all morning. Please put your child's name on their water bottle so they don't get mixed up with the other ones. Thanks!
