Mrs. Abbey read, The Knee-High Man, a folk tale from Africa about a small man who wanted to be bigger. The students learned that they are special just the way they are.

We worked on substituting sounds in words. For example, changing the /j/ sound in jump to the /b/ sound to make the word bump. Try a few words at home!

Mrs. Abbey is continuing to work with the children on individual end-of-the-year assessments. We are trying real hard to finish the assessments this week, so that next week (our final week of school) can be a fun week! We are hoping the weather is nice so that we can get outside a few days too!!!

Thank you to Jasmine, our Star of the Week, for bringing in some of her favorite princess dolls from her collection!

I'm sending out another call for reading bags. Please return them as soon as you can.

Also, Mrs. Adair is still missing a few library books.

If you ordered a year book, it should be arriving by early next week!

Upcoming: On Wednesday May 25, the students have the opportunity to jump in some inflatables. Please make sure your child wears socks that day so they can participate!
