We investigated worms today--touching, holding, looking at, and watching them wiggle! The students were split into two groups-one with the small red worms and one with the big earth worms. Many students are not afraid of holding worms at all! Tomorrow we will switch and the students will investigate the worms that they didn't see today.

Thank you to Kaylee I., our Star of the Week, for bringing in a fun noise maker to show the class.

Mrs. Abbey read an interesting story called Fun Places. In this nonfiction book, the students learned of different types of buildings and where they are located. (a tea-cup gas station, a shoe-shaped house, the Corn Palace, and an elephant-shaped house)

In computer lab, the students had free choice to explore any program which we have learned this year. Mrs. Abbey pulled students to work on individual assessments during computer lab time. Back in class, the students did another assessment--about patterns.

Mrs. Canada came to talk to the class about keeping safe--when you are at home, outside, crossing the street, at the park, etc. They talked about different dangers and how to stay safe.
