Kaylee I., our Star of the Week, brought in her cute dog, Rudy! The students loved her!
We spent time investigating our worms today! The students are getting more daring--some picking up handfuls of worms! Other students would rather watch their friends interact with the worms--they are happy to just observe.
We talked about how the students get ideas for what they draw or paint. Mrs. Abbey then read a non-fiction article called Children in Paintings. We practiced substituting phonemes.
ex. Teacher: "Say job."The students finished preparing for the art show tonight! We hope you will all be able to stop by Horizon sometime between 5:30-7:00pm to check out all the wonderful artwork! Your child knows where their pottery and pictures are...Mr. Spellman showed them during art class today.
Students: "job"
Teacher: "Change the /j/ to /s/."
Students: "sob"
Thank you to Ella's mom for coming to school to help out with one of our assessments!
The kids were really hard workers today! I am so proud of them! They are so excited for summer to come, but we are working very strong these last couple weeks of school.
